What to Expect at Your First Visit

Patient History

Dr. Castillo will review your forms and discuss your health history. The doctor will ask you questions about your current symptoms and any past care you have received. All of this information will help the doctor determine whether chiropractic care is an appropriate treatment for your condition. If the doctor determines that chiropractic care is not the best course of treatment, she or he will refer patients to an appropriate health care provider.

Physical Exam

After discussing your health, Dr. Castillo will perform a series of orthopedic, neurological and spinal examinations to identify any specific problems. The doctor will analyze your posture and leg length to look for any imbalances. In some cases, the doctor may ask you to have an x-ray or an MRI before starting your treatment, to rule out anything serious.

Diagnosis + Treatment

Dr. Castillo will determine a diagnosis based on your examination and any x-ray or MRI results. The doctor will present you with a treatment plan specifically to address your health problems, taking the time to explain its elements in detail and to answer your questions. Your treatment may involve any combination of services offered at Alliance Chiropractic Health Center, including spinal manipulation, trigger point therapy, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound or acupuncture. Some patients may benefit from nutritional and lifestyle counseling, in addition to rehab exercises aimed at building flexibility and strength to prevent future injuries or problems. Our goal for every treatment plan is to not only address your current problem, but to improve your health and overall well-being for the long term.
