Dr. Bernadine Reyes
Dr. Reyes is a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, formerly known as National College of Chiropractic, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. She is currently completing a 180-hour certification program with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association that specializes in prenatal and pediatric care. Prior to attending National College of Chiropractic, Dr. Reyes studied Biology and received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Reyes is certified in the Webster Technique, which is used as a safe means to restore proper pelvic balance and function for pregnant mothers. A large percentage of pregnant women experience back pain during pregnancy, due to structural changes that occur to pregnant mother's body and to the rapid growth of the baby. This analysis has been shown to reduce the effects of intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth and to create an environment for an easier, safer delivery. Dr. Reyes has also taken post graduate courses in Nutrition, Functional Medicine, and Radiology. Dr. Reyes is certified in Acupuncture, Diversified and Thompson Drop Techniques, and Custom Orthotic Therapy and Bracing.
Dr. Reyes' approach to treatment is to find the underlying cause of the problem, keeping her patient's best interest in mind. She not only treats the symptoms, but will also work with you to prevent problems from occurring in the future. Each treatment program is designed specifically for the individual.
When Dr. Reyes is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an avid tennis player and plays in a Chicago Park District League.
